Phylum Porifera:Sponges
Sponges are asymmetrical meaning there is no symmetry. Sponges are able to reproduce both sexually and asexually. They don't have true tissues or internal organs, but they do have partially differentiated tissues. Sponges are sessile meaning, they are fixed in one place. I find it interesting that something like a sponge can look so lifeless, yet have so much going on inside of it. |
